For over 2000 years, people have used astrology to help them with their relationships.

From assessing compatibility with a potential partner, to understanding relationship dynamics in our private and public lives, astrology can be a powerful tool for navigating the complex world of human relationships.

I have spent over 15 years studying relationship astrology, and I’m excited to now offer three kinds of relationship readings:

TRADITIONAL Synastry readings

  • Synastry is the practice of comparing the birth charts of two people to assess the quality of their relationship

  • In a synastry reading, I will compare your birth chart with the birth chart of another person, and use techniques from the Hellenistic and Medieval traditions of astrology to assess the quality of your relationship

  • By examining the configuration of certain key placements in your birth charts, synastry enables us to examine the way that the unique personal qualities of the people in relationship themselves shape the fundamental nature of that relationship

What you get from me in a synastry reading:

  • A 90-minute client-led session where I will use my knowledge of traditional synastry to help you in whatever way I can with your relationship concerns

  • A safe space to discuss your relationship with an astrologer, where each person present is treated with equal respect

  • Validation, clarification and new perspectives on the relationship, seen through the neutral and objective lens of astrology

  • A technical approach grounded in a 2000-year-old tradition and built upon 15+ years of study and practice

  • Care, honesty, kindness, professionalism, and modern counselling skills.

What you will NOT get from me:

  • A final verdict on whether you are compatible or incompatible

  • Advice on whether to end your relationship

  • Unasked-for predictions or assessments of your compatibility

  • Blame, scorn, judgment, or taking sides.

Practical matters:

  • Synastry readings are conducted live over Zoom

  • It’s usually best for both people whose charts I’m comparing to be present in the reading

  • I can conduct synastry readings with one party absent, if I obtain the absent party’s express written consent to proceed with the reading in their absence

  • If the other person does not want to attend the reading, I will need their express written consent person must consent to the reading

WHICH RELATIONSHIP READING TO CHOOSE.

Choose a traditional synastry reading if:

  • you are already in a relationship

  • the other person is likely to either:

    • attend the session and participate with an open mind, OR

    • provide their express written consent for the reading to proceed in their absence.

  • you are interested in:

    • understanding your ‘compatibility’ from an astrological perspective

    • seeking astrological validation and clarity about the experience of being in relationship together,

    • learning more about how the other person experiences the relationship too

    • identifying areas of strength and support to build upon, as well as ‘pain points’ to work on or mitigate

    • gaining a zoomed out, objective and neutral assessment of the relationship’s strengths and weaknesses.

Choose an ideal partner reading if:

  • you are either:

    • not in a relationship, OR

    • you are in a relationship, but the other person is unlikely to attend a traditional synastry reading with an open mind or consent to one proceeding in their absence

  • you are primarily interested in using synastry to help you choose partners, and you want to know which placements to seek out and which to avoid

  • you are okay for the reading to focus only on your own birth chart and to only discuss relationships hypothetically

Choose a relationship horary question if:

  • You have a specific, pressing question on your mind about a relationship (ideally one with a Yes or No answer)

  • You are primarily seeking a prediction of a future event, or concrete information about what is happening right now, rather than advice

  • Example relationship horary questions include:

    • Will I get into a relationship in the next 12 months?

    • Will I ever get married?

    • How does X feel about me?

    • Will X ever ask me out?

    • Will X ever propose to me?

    • Will we reconcile our differences and heal our relationship?

    • Will we break up?

    • Will trust ever be restored between us?
