Please note: I am currently not offering natal readings while I focus on preparing a course on horary astrology.
Natal astrology is the astrology of a person’s birth. It’s one of the oldest forms of astrology, and it’s the most popular form of astrology today.
The astrologer casts a horoscope or “birth chart” for the place and time you were born, and then works with you to analyse the chart and uncover information about your life.
The birth chart contains a huge amount of information, so part of my work as an astrologer is to identify the key details in the chart that will be helpful for you at this point in your life.
My goal is to use my knowledge of natal astrology to help you to come to a better understanding of yourself, your potential, your journey thus far, and what lies on the road ahead.
Used carefully, natal astrology can be a powerful tool to reshape our sense of identity into a kinder and more accurate vision of ourselves, and to rewrite the narratives we tell ourselves about our lives, forging a more empowering and validating perspective on who we are and the challenges we have experienced.
Astrology can also be used as a guide or roadmap for our life. The natal reading grants us insight into our vast innate potential, and then using predictive techniques we can explore upcoming events and experiences, aiming to utilise our potential, steer ourselves towards a better future, avoid pitfalls and play “the cards we have been dealt by fate” in a wise and considered manner.
Traditional natal astrology can help you to:
gain an enhanced sense of meaning and purpose in your life, as you witness the profound connection between events in the heavens and events that have taken place in your life down here on earth
recognise your unique gifts and talents, and the areas in life where you have experienced fortune and opportunity, so that you can recognise the blessings in your life that may have been obscured from you, or that you have overlooked, and make better use of them
come to terms with hardships you may have experienced, validating your experiences of pain or loss or grief, and to accept the limitations and setbacks in your life
anticipate challenges and difficult periods in your life before they arise, so that you can prepare for them, avoid them, or come to terms with them
identify future opportunities for growth and positive change before they arise, so that you can take advantage of the potential they offer
gain a deeper and more sympathetic knowledge of self, your personal drives, your thinking style, so that you can understand yourself better and be kinder to yourself
recognise and affirm core parts of your identity that may have been suppressed or rarely examined, in order to build a more holistic and accurate self image
see yourself externalised, as others see you, so that you can get a more objective viewpoint of your life and your behaviour, sorting out the truths and the untruths of what people have told you, and what you tell yourself, about who you are and what you are like
identify and explore a more rewarding life path that aligns with your deepest needs and desires and makes better use of your innate potential.
Go to my Bookings page and pick a time and date for the consultation. Then just fill out the form with your contact details, birth information, and other notes, and make payment by credit card or Paypal.
After you have booked a reading you will receive a confirmation email from me that sets out the time and date for the consultation.
For online readings, the confirmation email will also have a Zoom link - just click on that link at the scheduled time, and Zoom will take care of the rest.
A couple of days before the reading I’ll send you another reminder email, just to make sure you don’t forget about the appointment.
Ahead of the reading I will spend around an hour preparing and making notes. This preparation time is the main reason why I request payment upfront, at the time of booking.
See my Terms & Conditions» for information on my rescheduling and cancellation policies.
A 75 minute consultation with me, conducted either in person (for local clients) or online via Zoom video conferencing.
Dial-in options are available if you want to speak to me by telephone. We can also conduct the reading by text chat if that is your preference.
With your consent, I will record the session and send you a link to download the recording. Many people find it useful to have a recording of the consultation, so that they can refer back to it in the future. If you don’t want the consultation recorded, that’s totally fine.
My purpose with these readings is simple - I want to put my knowledge of astrology to your service, and use that knowledge to help you, to the best of my abilities.
I have a wide array of techniques in my astrological toolbox, including firdaria, annual profections, solar returns, transits, primary and secondary directions. But I don’t really have a standard approach or a routine set of techniques that I use for every reading.
Instead, my approach is to ask you what you want from the session, and then we can work together to explore what the astrology has to say.
My booking form has a section for you to tell me what you want to get out of the session. I really want to encourage you to fill that part out, and please feel free to provide me with as much detail as you’re comfortable sharing. The info you provide will inform where I spend most of my preparation time ahead of the consultation.
And hey, if you don’t really have a clear idea of what you want to get out of the reading, that’s fine too; we can just do a general reading and see where the conversation leads us.
Ensure that your birth information (time, date, location) is as accurate as possible.
If you’re relying on parent’s memory for the birth time, consider contacting the hospital where you were born or tracking down your birth certificate. An incorrect birth time can lead to a poor quality reading.
Spend some time ahead of the session contemplating what you want to know, or what you hope to get out of the session. This will ensure the session is focused and our time together is well spent.
Be an active participant in the reading. Converse with me, ask questions, and provide feedback; if we work together as a team, the session will be a lot more meaningful and helpful to you.
